THE INVISIBLE MASTER

Throughout time there have been great men who were able to reach the top of their chosen field. Alone and unassisted they earned themselves the reputation and title of a master. They all have something in common. They have each found a way of tapping into that hidden strength lying deep within themselves, finding the creativity they needed in order to see beyond their limitations. These great masters earned such a reputation and following that they had entire systems formed and carried on in the memory.

It is said that imitation is the highest form of flattery. But is it the best way of developing yourself to the same level of those that you aspire to be like? Is it possible for you to show the greatest amount of respect for your teacher without letting your natural creative ability become hampered? These are very important questions. The first thing you must realise if you want to be anything like the great masters of our time is that they were all individuals.

What if the likes of Bruce Lee or Mas Oyama had just conformed and followed others or only ever studied one system and never listened to there creative urges to break free and follow there natural instincts? They would have stayed as followers and would not have become the leaders and innovators that they are known as today. The same can be said for Sun Tzu (The Art of War). If Sun Tzu did not have the confidence to express himself and his beliefs, the world would have missed out on a book of strategies and concepts that are still being used today as training tools by world leaders and the business sector. And Miyamoto Musashi (A Book of Five Rings written in 1645) who’s insight into how he was able to remain totally undefeated throughout a lifetime of deadly duels and six wars is a perfect example of someone who was able to tap into his Invisible Master, the unknown entity within us all and use it to survive and thrive in the most extreme circumstances.

What is the invisible master and how do we tap into it?

The invisible master is best described as that creative force that lies deep inside us. It is the very essence that each of us has as individuals. It allows us to express our true potential in our own unique way.

It is the source of mental and physical power, the core, the very centre of our being and the driving life force and empty energy of Chi. It is the solid, the void and that part inside that decides your movements and reactions. It is your creative imagination and an internal and external entity that you control. It is the control and command over our body, speed, power and refinement into our ability to develop ourselves into whatever we choose. It has control over our fear, doubt and self-belief and the very essence of who we are.

To tap into the invisible master we must first realise that it is already a part of us, we are not trying to become something different or change who we are, and in fact it’s the complete opposite.

If anything we are simply trying to realise who we are, what makes us who we are and remember who we really are inside. The pure essence of ourselves is the person we all once were as children, we were always happy, energetic, enthusiastic, and open minded and excited just to be alive.

It’s that completely natural feeling of endless energy and lightness that we can once again begin to feel when we learn how to get in touch with our invisible master.

It is no coincidence that the method of training that leads to the discovery of the invisible master is called the invisible master principle.

This principle and its associated techniques are totally unique to a system of kung fu known as Invisible Master Kung fu.
